Beyonce and Jay-Z Release First Pics of Blue Ivy Carter

Pop-star Beyonce and music mogul husband Jay-z show off their newborn baby girl Blue Ivy Carter on their brand new Tumblr page dedicated to their daughter.
Other celebrities have gotten millions for first baby pics, but Beyonce and Jay-z decided to share their photos without charge with a simple handwritten note:
“We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives – The Carter Family.”
One wonders why the celebrated couple didn’t get paid for the photos and then given the money to charity.
Blue Ivy Carter was born on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. The couple’s decision to rent out the hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million in an effort to control their privacy created a number of disgruntled Lenox Hill hospital workers.
Beyonce made her first appearance since giving birth at her husband’s charity concert last week. The singer/songwriter came out to support husband Jay-z at his Carnegie Hall concert, which benefited United Way of New York City and his The Shawn Carter Foundation.
Last month, the couple also filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect Blue Ivy’s name and reserve it for a future line of baby carriages and other accessories. Good thing because at least one fashion designer tried to profit off of Blue Ivy’s name.
